Welcome to the Swan Italian Sporting Club

The Swan Italian Sporting Club was opened on the 30th of October 1982. A number of people donated their time, skills, and money to build the Club that we see today. In the Bar Area we honour these people with a plaque of their names. Many of these members still attend the Clubs events today.

Originally the Club was a haven for the Italian community who were a long way from their country of origin, but over the years we have tried to make the Club a community social centre as well. We offer a friendly atmosphere to all who attend our functions and events, regardless of age and nationality.      

We hold many events throughout the year; these are run by both the Club and outside organisers. Many of the Club events are held weekly and fortnightly, they include Pizza and Pasta nights, Karaoke events, Line Dancing, Cards night, Senior’s days (which include a meal, entertainment, and dancing)

We also hold yearly events such as, our Annual Ball, Christmas in July, Melbourne Cup Luncheon and the New Years Eve party.

The Club and its grounds cater to many diverse groups, private functions, and Club events:

Main Hall. Wedding receptions, Balls, Concerts, Conferences, Line Dancing, Exercise Groups

Bar Function room. Fully licensed bar, with a designated dance floor. Darts, Poker nights

Soccer grounds/oval. Available (off season) for fetes, dog shows, car shows, school sporting, or other fundraising events

Kitchen. Catering for events by Club or outside caterers.

Disability accessibility and toilet facility.

Memberships are available to all ages and nationalities.
